My Favorite Spa and the fabulous Mar-tea-ni

If you’ve visited my “About” page, you will know I love the spa, spa treatments and spa getaways. After Monday evening, you can add spa hosted tea workshops to that list.

I’ve been visiting Raintree Day Spa for a few years. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to go as much as I would like (every week to once a month) or even once every two months or a quarter. This spa is special! It’s in a great location. It’s intimate and charming! And, the staff is incredible not to mention the spa treatments. After my visit Monday evening, I can add their culinary tea workshops to the list.

Barbara and Bill have been offering these workshops for some time but this was my first one. It did not disappoint. Titled Iced Teas & Decadent Dips, it was a true tea tasting with a twist. We were served teas named Indian Summer (rooibos) , Mango Sun (black) and Mocha Mate (mate’) in an iced form. No doubt about it, the iced teas were a hit as were the cocktail variations: Indian Summer Sangria, Mango Sun Bellini, Mocha Mate Granita and the pièce de résistance, the Mar-tea-ni.

Raintree Iced Tea Cocktails

The assortment of dips were INCREDIBLE and were the perfect addition to these fabulous summer refreshments.

Avocado, Smoked Salmon, Spicy Chipotle and Dill Dips

The recipes for these wonderful drinks have been made available by Raintree along with the ingredients for the dips. For me, I think I will give Chef Kevin of Heringers Gourmet Foods a call for the dips. I need to focus my attention on perfecting the preparation of these cocktails.

Sign up for the Raintree newsletter so you can be informed about their next culinary tea event. You won’t want to miss it!
