Share Your Wisdom

Share your wisdom because there is someone who can use it.

Wisdom plaque

One of the greatest things about getting older is the experience we pick up along the way. It doesn’t matter if it comes from work, education, volunteering, or just living life, the experience and knowledge we acquire can be a godsend to a new generation or anyone in need. So why not share what you know?

I started thinking about this over 15 years ago for myself but the idea became more focused during the last two months. I was talking to a family member who knows the ins and outs on fixing your credit especially to prepare for purchasing a home. She’s no Suzi Orman but she easily has the ear of people who may not listen to Suzi. She’s not just talking the talk; she’s walking the walk. She’s sharing her knowledge of this topic with a small few particularly those who she can further support in her business of real estate.

We all have something that the world needs. I believe that’s why we have the gifts and knowledge we have. But holding on to it doesn’t do us any good.

Volunteer your time. Start a consulting business. Hold a by-donation workshop to support a church or youth group. For profit or not, choose the option that works best for you.

Remember that by sharing your wisdom and experience you are feeding your community and the world.

  1. I’m especially excited to have written this post because I have recently set up a social media consulting appointment. It’s only the beginning but it is a beginning.
