Wow, Barack Obama is the new President elect of the United States of America.

My greatest hope is that President elect Obama will be able to bring the country together. Of course, you can always expect a little resistance. And there are people who no matter what good he does, will always see some negative. I’m going to keep my fingers crossed and do a lot of praying that not only will people accept change but embrace it.

My maternal grandmother passed away in July at the age of 92. I’m sure when she was paying a poll tax back in the day, she never thought this day would and could come. I’m sure that’s a similar feeling for so many others.

Now that the election is over, let’s pray that change comes for all.
