After reading this post, I welcome and encourage you to share what you’ve learned today.
For the last several weeks I’ve been working a temporary assignment with two very interesting men. One has an intriguing background which includes Hungarian heritage (I’ve never worked with a Hungarian). My other colleague is from Ireland (and sounds a little like Colin Farrell).
Besides enjoying the assignment and the company I am working for, I have learned a not from having simple conversations with my temp colleagues.
A couple of things I’ve learned from them?
~ Thomas hipped me to “Country Death Song” by the Violent Femmes and shared knowledge some shortcut keys.
~ Simon has taught me about different “sweets” including the very yummy Moro bar and given me some insight on life in Dublin.
With them I’ve shared some of my experiences living in Canada and living in the South.
Every interaction we have on a daily basis whether with a book, TED Talks, movie, tweet, Facebook status, meeting with a new person or get-together with an old friend is an opportunity to learn something new. We also have chances daily to learn something new about ourselves.
So
- What have you learned today?
- What have you learned that was life changing?
- What have you learned that you have recently shared with someone else?
Share what you’ve learned to give someone else a chance to learn.
